Stick Gluten is a really interesting rapid test for gluten-free quality control.
The test is appropriate for food industries, laboratories and gluten-free related industries. It allows to check with high precision without any additional instrument whether the raw materials, the final products, or any step in the production process contains or has been contaminated with gluten.
More in detail: Stick Gluten is a immunochromatographic rapid test for gluten detection in foodstuffs. The test is based on R5 monoclonal antibody and can detect all alpha, beta, gamma and omega fractions of prolamins from wheat, barley and rye with elevated affinity and specificity and with a sensitivity comprised between 2 and 4 ppm.
The test principle is the immunological capture of coloured microparticles when they migrate throughout a membrane in which a monoclonal antibody has been immobilised.
How to use Stick Gluten:
Only 1 gram of food sample, 10 ml of ethanol 60% and 30 minutes are necessary to extract gluten from foodstuffs (solid or liquid) Dip Stick Gluten into a mixture of this ethanolic extraction and PBS, and in just 5 minutes you can read the test result through an easy visual interpretation.
